This 11 Days Tamang Heritage Trekking starts from Kathmandu with drive to Sybrubesi from where the trek begins exploring typical Tamang settlements and villages like Gatlang, Tuman, Bridim with extension trek to Langtang valley and Kyinjin Ghompa. In addition to this the entire trekking trail offer rewarding view of Langtang mountain range, Ganesh Himal, Sanjen and Kerung Himal.
Tamang people in Nepal have their own distinct culture, language and religion. They are the indigenous inhabitants of the Himalayan regions of Nepal. Most of the Tamangs follow Bon form of Buddhism. Flags and colorful printed by Buddhist mantra, holy words and clothes are put in different places in the village. Tamang have a dance called Tamang Selo that is performed to the Damphoo instrument, also known as Damphoo Dance, having a brisk movement and rhythmic beat peculiar to Tamangs. Most Tamangs are farmers, engaged in agriculture.
